KERMEL offers a range of wildland fire gear.

Fire resistant wildland firefighting gear is used by wildland firefighters for instance in Spain, France or Italy:

  • Kermel V50 (50% Kermel® , 50% Lenzing FR), 260 g/sqm,
  • Kermel V70 (70% Kermel® , 30% Lenzing FR), 205 & 230 g/sqm.


In order to widen the range of solutions for wildland firefighter clothing, KERMEL has developed new non-flammable fabrics to meet the specific needs of wildland firefighters:

  • comfort in hot conditions over a long period of time,
  • air permeability,
  • sweat transport,
  • high visibility colours (bright orange, bright yellow),
  • high mechanical strength (tear strength).


Solutions for wildland firefighting gear made out of aramid Kermel® fiber:

  • HEROSKIN:
    • 230 g/sqm for North Europe,
    • 175 g/sqm for South Europe;

  • KERMEL V50:

    •  230g/sqm associated with 250 g/sqm (for the reinforced parts of the firefighter clothing, e.g. on the knees).


Kermel V50 wildland firefighter clothing comply with NFPA 1975.
Kermel Heroskin wildland firefighting gear complies with NFPA 1977.
